Here's the link to Runaway Design Collective a gorgeous new kid's t-shirt company. Based in east London, they are a friends and family collective producing a range of baby and toddler tops. It's a breath of fresh air from kid's high street fashion and a really diverse mix of designers. My designs include a kid on a scooter, band practice and a toddler swim class.

I came across this article while looking for a copy of Kyra's book.... Wordpress from Sarah Morpeth describing Kyra Cane's new book.

"What I particularly like is the glimpse inside artist's sketchbooks - The ceramicist Helen Beard applies her drawings to the surfaces of her pieces; I do like the simple sparse forms she records in her sketch books - she manages to sum up a personality in a quick drawing, capturing a quirky stance, a particular turn of the head."

Fortnum and Mason's honey jars are back by popular demand.

The luxury store is holding it's first ever Honey Auction on 28th September 2012 and anyone can attend! I'm making my series of four honey jars for the auction, each representing Fortnum's four different beehives in Mughal, Roman, Chinese and Gothick design. Get a glimpse of the auction here: The world is abuzz...

If you're down in Cornwall this summer, don't forget to check out the Porthminster gallery. I will be exhibiting in the summer exhibition from June through to September.

They've also opened a stunning new gallery space at Westcott's Quay, right on the seafront.

Afternoon tea at the Andaz Hotel

Celebrating the Andaz hotel's support of the London Design Week and Crafted,* I have been asked to make a special tea service which can be booked by design and business people attending the event, for press meetings and anyone wanting to sample an unusual afternoon tea.

*Crafted is a joint initiative between Walpole and Arts and Business, set up to offer support and to promote established craft makers in the UK. I took part in the scheme 2009 -2010, mentored by Adam Gilchrist of Veedon Fleece.

Arts and Business Scotland Awards 2009

These are the awards to be presented at the A&B Scotland Awards Ceremony next week. Each piece illustrates an Edinburgh shop window and links the company that has won to the category they have been awarded.

I'm featured in Homes and Antiques magazine this month!

November 2007

Edinburgh City Art Centre: Paper Stone Scissors, an exhibition of 6 selected craft makers who have been commissioned to make a new body of work in response to the city of Edinburgh. My response is perhaps the most literal: an installation of pots where I map out the familiar streets of the old town (close to ECA, my art college, my home, my life for those important student years). I have drawn the people, the tourists, the buskers, the rickety flats  and vast museums, the beautiful shops and the castle that rises above it all.

Edinburgh City Council have purchased the piece and I hear they intend to display it at the newly refurbished Usher Hall.

October 2007,

Origin 2007 and I am awarded Best Domestic Design by the Evening Standard's Homes and Property. Whoop!
